The Mankachar Division (Irrigation), Hatsingimari was created in the year 1992. It has two Sub Divisions namely Mankachar Sub Division, Hatsingimari and South Salmara Sub Division, Airkata. The main objective of this Division is to provide water for irrigation purpose so that production of crops and livelihood of cultivators can be improved.
