The Government of Assam has decided to introduce a New Scheme “ARUNDHATI” from the current financial year 2019-20. This has also been announced in the Budget Speech of the Hon’ble Finance Minister in 2019 -20 at point No – 40. The objective of the scheme is to facilitate the parents of the girl child who are economically not very sound, but like all parents desire to give some gold which is considered auspicious to their as gift daughters on her marriage. The Government desires to share the joy of such parents who are getting their daughters married by way of providing Rs.40,000/-as a token of blessings to the daughters of these parents for purchasing of Gold. The Nodal department for implementation of the ARUNDHATI Gold Scheme shall be the Revenue & DM (Registration) Department.

Overview
PRC is issued to Indian Citizens only for the purpose of admission to educational institution where such certificates are insisted upon by the educational institution. Such Certificate are issued as per existing provisions after due examination by the Deputy Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) containing a clear provision that it will be applicable only in respect of the specific requirement of admission to that specific institution and shall not be valid for any other purpose. The following categories of persons are eligible for Permanent Residential Certificate. .
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be citizen of India.
Applicant should pass HSLC Examination
Documents Required
The application should include the following documents:
*Two copies of passport size photographs.
*Records of Immovable property if any, with up-to-date Land Revenue Paid Slip.
Copy of Indian Passport or
*Certified copy of NRC 1951.
*Certified copy of the voters list to check the linkage.
Copy of the PRC of any member of the family of the applicant stating relationship, if any.
*Copy of the Birth Certificate issued by competent authority.
*Copy of HSLC Certificate/Admit Card.
Employment Certificate issued by the employer showing joining in present place of posting, if any.
*Documents related to parents and forefathers having continuously resided in Assam for a minimum period of 50 years or
*Documents related to guardian having continuously resided in Assam for a minimum period of 20 years.
*Up to date land revenue paid receipt for 3(three) years.
